Query Letter and Twitter Pitch Critique: $30

Substantive and copy edit that includes three rounds of edits for the query as well as feedback for up to five Twitter competition pitches.

Submission Package: $60

Substantive and copy edit of query letter as well as a review and copy edit of your first ten pages. The review includes comments on how to improve pace, flow, etc. This is intended for manuscripts that are fully polished and ready to submit to agencies.

Manuscript Edits

Note: This is for completed manuscripts (MG, YA, adult fiction, nonfiction). Please send me your manuscript for a bid. I will do a small sample of about 3–5 pages (for free) and send you a bid based on which type of edit you want (substantive, line, or copy). My bids are based on quality of writing and time it will take me to complete your project. After my initial bid, we can work together on a timeline and expectations.

Substantive Edit

Includes a revision letter and in-text comments. Does not include fact-checking.

Line Edit

Includes comments and corrections on tone, paragraphing, pacing, style, and phrasing.

Copy Edit

Includes corrections on grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax as well as tracking and correcting inconsistencies.

Other Services

Copy Edit (Academic Papers): $35/hour

Note: I only edit papers intended for publication. I do not edit student papers that are not intended for publication.

This package is customizable. It can include an edit of only the main text or the main text plus any of the following: endnotes and references, tables, figures, and appendices. I can edit to any style you request (APA, Chicago, etc.). I will do a sample edit of 3–5 pages for free. Generally, 30-page papers take 15–20 hours. Turnaround depends on my availability but is generally 1–2 weeks.

Proofreading: $35/hour

Includes review of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Intended for finalized products ready for publication.

Indexing: $50/hour
